[Remote] Principal Engineer - Water/Wastewater

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Crescit Executive Search is seeking a Principal Engineer specializing in Water and Wastewater Treatment. This role involves leading the planning and design of water treatment projects, business development, and managing various project phases from planning to construction support.ResponsibilitiesLead engineering designs, construction drawings, specifications, and calculations for various projectsReview project designs and drawings for compliance with engineering principles, firm standards, regulatory compliance, customer contract requirements, and related specificationsEstablish and foster client relations and develops proposals and budgetsMeet with clients to determine recommended project scope and estimate staffing requirements and feeDevelop and maintain client contact before, during, and after project completionCultivate client relationships through organizational involvement and by direct contactUse technical knowledge to develop technical studies/reports and designs for water treatment projectsMake recommendations to senior management as to additional staff and resource needsAssign staff and other resources, working with other managers to balance overall company workload and best utilize personnelPrepare and conduct technical review of staff, reports, correspondence, calculations and prepare technical recommendationsPrepare opinions of probable cost on current and new designsEnsures projects are delivered on schedule and within scope and budgetProject management of major design and construction projectsEffectively direct projects from planning through completionKeep timely track of project progress, schedule, and budgetMonitor project scopes, request contract amendments when appropriateMentor engineering staff on technical matters and procedures and act as a technical resourceContribute to technical journals and conference presentationsProvide quality assurance for plans and contract documents for construction of improvements within specialty areaDetermine clients’ invoicing requirements and work with accounting staff to prepare timely monthly invoicesPrepare summary billing descriptions if appropriate or required by clientSkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field15+ years' experience in civil engineering consulting or engineering managementExcellent writing and communication skills are essentialPE licensure in the required state or ability to obtain PE licensure within 6 months of hireCompany OverviewAt Crescit: Executive Search, we are passionate about connecting skilled engineering professionals with top firms in the US.
