[Remote] Principal Engineer Client Services - Power Industry

The Principal Client Service Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, analysis of test results, and consulting on power apparatus while also supporting R&D and field services.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical and application support on Doble products, analysis of test results, training and consultation on power apparatusSupport R&D related to application and product developmentProvide assistance to the field service and test departmentPublish technical articles and participate in various technical conferences sponsored by Doble and other industry organizationsSkillsBachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, preferably electrical engineering. This requirement can be waived for individuals with alternative technical training, specifically focused on power apparatus and familiarity with Doble products10 years of utility or similar experience specifically focused on power apparatusFamiliarity with Doble productsPrevious experience in the power utility industry and familiarity with electrical substation apparatusUnderstands diagnostic test techniques for high-voltage power apparatusA solid commitment to customer service is necessaryThe ability to conduct oneself in a professional mannerWillingness to travel 30% of the time to both domestic and international locationsThe ability to multi-task and be flexible. The daily routine includes frequent client interactions. Job assignments frequently change to meet client needsThe willingness to teach and work outdoors in energized substationsStrong communication skills both written and verbal. The candidate must be able to clearly and concisely express their opinionGood presentation skills will be required to conduct product training, and technical presentations at various forums and to audiences with varying skill sets.
