[Remote] Principal DevSecOps Architect, Growth

The Principal DevSecOps Architect will lead enterprise-level cloud and DevSecOps architecture across federal programs, providing technical leadership and supporting business development efforts.ResponsibilitiesServe as a thought leader across projects and proposals, contributing to Bixal’s technical vision and strategyLead technical solutioning for pursuits, shaping win themes through architecture, delivery approach, and risk mitigationWrite and review technical proposal content including technical volumes, SOW responses, implementation approaches, and compliance matricesPresent and defend solutions in client discussions, solutioning sessions, and orals presentations with clear, executive-ready communicationDefine and own cloud architecture and DevSecOps strategy for proposals and active delivery programsDesign secure, scalable, cloud-native platforms including CI/CD, IaC, container orchestration, identity/access, and observabilityEstablish architecture standards, reusable patterns, and technical governance aligned with federal security and delivery expectationsCollaborate with business development teams to shape technical solutioning early in the pursuit processProvide hands-on technical leadership through architecture reviews, technical decision-making, and mentoring senior engineersLead modernization efforts (legacy-to-cloud migrations, platform hardening, automation, reliability improvements, AI integration)Ensure solutions meet quality, performance, and compliance needs (e.g., NIST/FISMA/FedRAMP-aligned environments, as applicable)SkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field10+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering, SRE, or technical architectureDemonstrated success winning federal contracts, with hands-on experience developing and executing solutioning strategiesExperience supporting federal proposals and delivery programs and interfacing directly with clientsDemonstrated ownership of end-to-end cloud architecture and delivery outcomes in complex environmentsDeep experience with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern DevOps practices including IaC, CI/CD, and containers/KubernetesStrong understanding of secure delivery and compliance-driven environments; ability to embed DevSecOps into SDLCExceptional communication skills with proven ability to write technical narratives and present to senior stakeholdersAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearanceCloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) and/or enterprise architecture credentialsExperience building reusable platform patterns and accelerating delivery across multiple teamsActive member in DevSecOps or Cloud communities, with recent thought leadership activitiesBenefitsFlex hours401K with matching incentiveParental LeaveMedical/dental/vision benefitsFlex Spending AccountCompany provided short-term disability and life insuranceCommuter benefitsPaid Time Off (PTO)11 Paid holidaysCompany OverviewBixal is an internet company that provides communication and technology solutions.
