In this role, you will design and support data integrations for finance, sales, and human capital management systems, ensuring high standards of data integrity and security while providing technical guidance to team members.ResponsibilitiesAccountable for any piece or the entirety of the software delivery lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, release, and hypercareDelivering robust enterprise-grade ERP solutions, primarily through SQL-driven pipelines with selective use of middlewareProviding architectural design oversight and alignment to team implementation effortsMaintaining the business perspective in understanding and affecting how systems are implemented to satisfy user goalsDeveloping systems that adhere to a high standard of quality where our team’s successful delivery is a direct result of our own testing diligenceKeeping informed of ecosystem technical advances, and capable of proposing changes based on alternative technologyParticipating on multiple projects at the same time, stabilizing needs, and deadlinesProviding technical guidance and mentorship to other team membersSkillsPossesses 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a specific focus on MS SQL ServerWrites, optimizes, and debugs complex T-SQL queries, views, stored procedures, user-defined functions, and triggers to support ETL processes across multiple systems and databasesImplements robust automated error-handling, transaction management, and audit logging mechanisms within database processesOrchestrates data workflows across middleware tools, enterprise platforms, and database layers - including proprietary in-house applications - using API-based, file-based, and replication approaches to optimize for performance, scalability, and fault toleranceDevelops reusable ETL/ELT frameworks and patterns to standardize integration logic, reduce duplication, and improve maintainabilityAnalyzes unfamiliar source system schemas and accurately maps data elements to target destinations while maintaining strict business logicTroubleshoots and resolves data mismatches, connectivity drops, or pipeline failures quickly within production environmentsExecutes regression testing to ensure database modifications do not negatively impact shared objects, integration processes, or dependent upstream/downstream systemsDocuments test results, defects, and resolution steps in a structured format to support audit readiness and pre-production validationCollaborates with business stakeholders and end users to facilitate UAT, ensuring integration outputs meet functional expectations before production signoffFollows change management and control standards when modifying production database objects or integration processesExhibits excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skillsWorks with equal effectiveness both independently and alongside multiple cross-functional teamsHolds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or possesses equivalent professional work experiencePossesses 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 8+ years of dedicated MS SQL Server experienceDemonstrates functional knowledge of core financial accounting areas, including Accounts Receivable (banking, settlement, customer accounts, contracts), Accounts Payable (suppliers, procurement), and the General LedgerProficiency with middleware and integration platforms such as DBAmp, MuleSoft, CData Sync, CData Arc, and PythonBackground integrating with enterprise platforms such as JDE, Workday, and SalesforceExperience designing and supporting data warehouse or data lake architectures, including dimensional modeling and data staging strategiesPossesses a working knowledge of database administrator tasks such as SQL replication and mirroringMaintains a solid understanding of data encoding standards, specifically UTF-8 and Base64Familiarity with cloud-native data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Snowflake pipelines) and their role in modern data architecturesProcesses and stages data ingested into SQL Server via REST/SOAP APIs and web servicesExperience developing and consuming web services, including REST, SOAP, and Graph APIs, for data integration across enterprise systemsFamiliarity with designing scalable service integration patterns, including synchronous and asynchronous API interactionsHolds a Master's Degree or possesses equivalent professional work experienceBenefitsOur Remote First approach gives employees the flexibility and trust they need to effectively balance work with life.As part of our Remote-First benefits, Cambium offers reimbursement to help cover the cost of setting up your home or remote office.We will provide reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities.
