[Remote] Principal Cloud Engineer

The Principal Cloud Engineer serves as the technical leader for the organization's cloud platform architecture and infrastructure engineering practices, responsible for defining cloud architecture standards and ensuring the reliability and security of enterprise cloud environments.ResponsibilitiesDefine and lead architecture for scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure across enterprise platformsEstablish and enforce cloud architecture standards and best practicesEstablish infrastructure automation standards including Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), deployment pipelines, and configuration managementDrive consistency and efficiency through automation frameworksDesign and implement observability frameworks to support system reliability and proactive monitoringPartner with teams to improve incident response and system performanceLead modernization initiatives including container orchestration, distributed systems, and cloud-native architecture patternsAdvance adoption of modern platform engineering practicesCollaborate with security teams to ensure infrastructure meets regulatory, compliance, and cloud security standardsMentor engineers and provide technical leadership across cloud engineering initiativesDevelop architecture documentation, platform standards, and operational guidelinesSkillsBachelor's degree (BA/BS)10+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability EngineeringProven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure architecturesStrong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skillsDegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldAWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)AWS Cloud Practitioner CertificationTerraform Associate Certification or equivalentKubernetes certifications such as CKA or CKADBenefitsWe go beyond merely providing a remote work option—we support and embrace it.You’ll have the opportunity to make an impact from anywhere in the U.S. while contributing to meaningful improvements in health care delivery.Company OverviewComagine Health is a healthcare consulting firm & they work collaboratively with patients, providers, payers and other stakeholders.
