[Remote] Principal Analyst, Pricing Governance & Operations

QAD is building a world-class SaaS company, and they are seeking a highly analytical and operationally sharp Principal Analyst, Pricing Governance and Operations. This senior individual contributor role is responsible for the end-to-end pricing governance process, serving as the authoritative voice on pricing integrity across QAD’s business units.ResponsibilitiesOwn and run the pricing approval process for all changes to existing pricing and new pricing requests. Lead the pricing committee, including agenda management, meeting facilitation, tracking of open items, decisions and future actionsServe as the process authority ensuring all pricing requests move through a consistent, documented approval workflowMaintain the pricing approval log and decision history as an auditable recordEvaluate the financial merit of pricing proposals, including margin analysis, discount depth, deal structure, and revenue impactDevelop and maintain standardized economic models to assess pricing requests consistently across deal types (new logo, renewal, expansion, co-term, multi-year)Provide a formal approval or rejection recommendation to the pricing committee with supporting financial rationalePartner with FP&A and Revenue Recognition on pricing structures with complex recognition implicationsUpon pricing approval, execute all necessary system updates in the master price list and CPQ platform with accuracy and timelinessOwn CPQ configuration for pricing rules, discount guardrails, product bundling logic, and approval routingProactively identify and resolve configuration gaps or inconsistencies that create friction in the quote-to-order processMaintain version control and change documentation for all price list and CPQ updatesMaintain and update pricing documentation, rate cards, and policy guides for use by the Sales organizationServe as the primary point of contact for Sales and RevOps on pricing questions, deal exceptions, and CPQ escalationsTranslate complex pricing decisions into clear sales-facing guidancePartner with Sales Enablement and Product Management to ensure pricing materials reflect current approved structures and are readily accessibleContinuously improve pricing process efficiency, reducing cycle time from submission to approval to system executionIdentify opportunities to automate or systematize repeatable pricing workflowsMaintain pricing policy documentation and ensure adherence across all business unitsFor all first-time quotes at the point of new product or packaging availability, ensure they are customer-friendly, reviewed with Legal to ensure adherence to standard principles, and designed for ease of acceptance by the customer, with the goal of limiting custom wordingWork closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the pricing, quoting, and sales processes are seamless and easy to report on to leadershipSkills6+ years of experience in pricing operations, deal desk, revenue operations, FP&A, or a closely related finance or commercial operations functionDemonstrated experience with CPQ platforms (e.g., Salesforce CPQ / Revenue Cloud, DealHub, Zuora, or similar) including configuration, administration, or workflow managementStrong financial acumen with the ability to build and interpret margin models, discount economics, and deal-level P&L impactExperience facilitating cross-functional governance processes (pricing committees, approval workflows, escalation paths)Exceptional organizational skills with a track record of managing multiple concurrent processes with precisionStrong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting analysis and recommendations to senior Finance and Sales leadershipProficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for financial modeling; experience querying data in SQL or BI tools is a plusExperience in a B2B SaaS or enterprise software companyFamiliarity with subscription and ARR-based revenue models, including multi-year deals, co-terms, and renewal economicsExposure to revenue recognition concepts (ASC 606) as they relate to pricing and deal structuringExperience working within a private equity-backed company or in a high-accountability, metrics-driven environmentFamiliarity with manufacturing ERP or supply chain software markets is a plusBenefitsAnnual company performance bonusMedical, dental and vision coverage401(k) plan with company matchShort-term and long-term disability coverageLife insurancePaid-time offParental leaveWell-being programsCompany OverviewQAD offers cloud-based enterprise manufacturing and supply chain solutions.
