[Remote] Pricing Analyst

The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for price modeling and providing insights for cost proposals, competitive analysis, and risk management, while supporting multiple division presidents and the VP of Pricing.ResponsibilitiesHandles multiple tasks in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environmentPerforms business and management tasks in the area of Pricing with minimal supervisionPrepares timely, accurate and compliant cost and business proposals in response to customer requestsParticipates in the proposal pricing process to include:Develops complex cost models and detailed cost narratives based on the RFP requirementsDevelops pricing strategy; quantifies pricing risks, calculates effective operational margins, influences competitive pricing approachesWorks closely with Capture Manager, Technical Staff and other functional departments to ensure accuracy and coordination of cost proposalsReviews, analyzes, and compiles labor and subcontract cost data; Analyzes estimates of labor, material, equipment, and other direct costs, analyzes estimates against previous cost experience and recommend adjustments; prepares cost volumesParticipates in pricing review with upper management and coordinate with senior staff to determine pricing structure and strategySupports audits and participates in cost proposal clarifications or negotiationsUtilizes processes and tools that result in compliant/quality pricing proposal and follow all estimating system processesSkillsMinimum of a BA/BS Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance or related field and 3+ years of experience in Federal Government pricing, proposal development and federal contracting with 2+ years of other relative cost/price experience in industry. May substitute AA/AS Degree and 5+ yearsExperience with Excel Modeling and various Salary Data Information such as ERI, Salary.com and GS equivalents in labor categoriesExperience with Proposal Cost Narrative writing/development and justificationsAbility to understand and validate proposal price volume deliverablesExperience working with all phases of solicitation processes such as request for information (RFI), RFP responses and negotiationsKnowledge of all contract types including FFP, CPFF, CPAF and T&MFamiliarity with Government Cost Accounting Principles and FAR Part 31Ability to brief details of pricing modeling used in the RFP to Senior Management to justify our winning strategyDOD experience highly desiredExperience working with executives and senior management requiredExperience integrating functionality of MS Business Systems (Power Pivot, Power BI, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Copilot) to everyday tasks, communication, and pricing related objectivesCompany OverviewAstrion is a provider of mission support and advanced engineering services.
