[Remote] Power Delivery Project Manager

Leidos Engineering is seeking experienced Project Managers to join their Strategic Program Consulting team within the Power Delivery Solutions division. This role involves leading project execution teams for electric utility clients, managing project performance, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.ResponsibilitiesLead electric utility project execution teams with a diverse set of contributors - including Engineering, Construction, Permitting, Siting, Environmental, Cost Controls and Scheduling functions - to deliver comprehensive capital transmission substation projects for electric utility clientsTake ownership of overall portfolio performance, including cost, schedule, and scope managementInterface with clients and internal stakeholders to address issues, report progress, and mitigate risks across the project portfolioMentor and develop project management staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learningManage monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable processesIdentify and pursue business development opportunities to support organizational growthEnsure compliance with contract requirements and quality control standardsMaintain regular communication with stakeholders, including clients, project teams, subcontractors, and support personnelIdentify project risks and mitigation strategiesSkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related fieldA minimum of 5+ years of progressive Project Management experience within the Electric Utility Industry; Experience as a Project Manager directly at an electric utility is strongly preferredDemonstrated Experience working with US Electric Utilities, and a comprehensive understanding of electric power and infrastructure projects is requiredDirect experience working with electric power infrastructure projectsSupervisory experience including team building and talent acquisitionStrong leadership skills with a focus on portfolio management and team developmentExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to travel periodically as requiredProficiency utilizing MS Project suite with a heavy emphasis on Microsoft Excel (must be able to demonstrate proficiency with Excel)Previous experience working with AEP as a customer is preferred, but not requiredPMP Certification or willingness to obtain within two yearsPrior experience in a leadership positionDemonstrated success in leading cross-functional teamsExperience with PowerBI and/or visualization toolsBenefitsCareer development and growth opportunitiesProject Management Professional (PMP) certificationFormal Mentorship programsLearning & Development ResourcesTechnical Upskilling programsLeadership trainingsRemote working capabilitiesCompetitive compensationHealth and Wellness programsIncome ProtectionPaid LeaveRetirementCompany OverviewLeidos is an industry and technology leader serving government and commercial customers with smarter, more efficient digital and mission innovations.
