[Remote] Platform Operations Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Lenmar Consulting Inc is seeking a Platform Operations Engineer for a long-term contract role. The engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions using Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices, while also contributing to the growth of the Cloud Engineering Program and ensuring adherence to development standards and security policies.ResponsibilitiesBuild solutions using the best practices of Agile, CI/CD, and DevOpsContinuously develop the skills required to work as part of the agile team in a poly-skilled development environmentWrite code to automate the infrastructure lifecycle, create and support internal tools utilizing IaC, and be able to use CLIsPartner with domain SMEs (Delivery Team Software Engineers, Security, Infrastructure, Network, Observability and Operations) to research, analyze and implement features and capabilitiesContribute to the development and growth of the Cloud Engineering Program, through thought leadership, design and implementation of tools and processesImplement cloud-first architectural solutions and best practicesParticipate in agile scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Grooming, Daily SCRUM, Demo, Retro) and contribute to team deliverablesParticipate in peer reviews of software engineering artifactsMaintain, operate and monitor Platform products and infrastructureAssist in the identification and resolution of production and production-like issuesEnsure the team is adhering to development standards and security policies and proceduresSkills8 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD framework, immutable infrastructure, automation, orchestration, and other modern DevOps patternsTechnical knowledge of Cloud Computing, DevOps, and MicroservicesStrong knowledge and experience with distributed cloud infrastructure within AWSExperience working with AWS resources such as Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, Step Functions, EC2, ECS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, DynamoDBExperience building event-driven Cloud-based serverless applicationsCoding/scripting experience with Python, JavaScript, React.js, Node.jsExcellent communication and collaboration skills with an ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly languageDemonstrated ability to develop and maintain good customer working relationshipsExceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentCompany OverviewEstablished in 1998, Lenmar’s Professional Services (Contingent/SOW Staffing & Managed Services) provides highly-skilled financial services professionals (contract/contract-to-hire/permanent) and helps clients to keep or bring back challenging projects in-house by bridging the technology and domain skills gap.
