They are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer (Mobile Apps) to own the systems and processes for their mobile applications, ensuring reliability and performance as the company scales rapidly.ResponsibilitiesOwn the release pipeline — build and maintain the systems that take code from merged to production reliably, repeatably, and with minimal manual intervention across iOS and AndroidAdvance our release automation — build toward fully automated, push-button deploys and rollbacks with Slack-posted status and minimal manual intervention as the default pathStrengthen performance monitoring and observability — expand instrumentation, define alerting thresholds, build domain-level SLA dashboards, and ensure visibility across our React Native and Android environments, including offline-first scenariosImprove CI/CD pipeline speed and reliability — reduce build times, improve E2E test stability, integrate feature flag automation, and level up the testing infrastructure engineers depend on every dayScale observability knowledge across the team — create dashboards, runbooks, and instrumentation patterns that any engineer can use and extend, not just specialistsKeep the platform healthy — React Native and dependency updates, certificate management, Apple/Google store compliance, and MDM tooling as the fleet scalesLeverage AI tools to build automations at scale across release and distribution workflowsHelp us build a great team — interview candidates, refer strong engineers, and shape engineering cultureSkills5 - 9 years of experience as a mobile platform or mobile infrastructure engineerHas owned release pipelines, CI/CD, or observability for a mobile application in productionHas worked at a product-led company close to the end userTrack record of reducing manual steps / optimizing release and deployment processesMobile-specific experience — Swift, Kotlin, or React Native (not general backend infra)Hands-on with observability tooling (Datadog, Firebase, or equivalent) in a mobile contextLocated and authorized to work in the United States or CanadaReact Native experience specifically is a strong plusBuildkite experienceBenefitsEquity100% remote and can be based anywhere in the United States or CanadaFor San Francisco-based candidates: we have a new HQ in the Presidio for optional in-person collaboration opportunitiesCompany OverviewD24 is a boutique recruiting firm offering white glove services for venture backed deep-tech starts ups from seed to IPO and beyond.
