This role focuses on designing and managing automation solutions to enhance IT infrastructure reliability and efficiency, while bridging operations and engineering through automation practices.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain automation for infrastructure operations and workflow orchestration using Python and low-code or no-code tools where appropriateDevelop reusable automation patterns, scripts, and toolchains that reduce manual effort and lower operational riskBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processesImplement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to improve service health, availability, and performanceTroubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and support long-term reliability improvementsFollow documented change control procedures, including peer reviews, risk assessments, and rollback planningSupport the scalability and resilience of core services through performance tuning and proactive risk reductionTranslate stakeholder needs into technical solutions with defined KPIs and measurable outcomesCommunicate project status, risks, and technical recommendations to stakeholders and team membersMaintain system documentation and support escalations as neededMentor teammates on automation, reliability, DevOps, and operational best practicesSupport incident response by triaging alerts, troubleshooting service issues, documenting actions taken, and contributing to post-incident reviewsPromote responsible use of enterprise AI tools to improve automation, documentation, code generation, and troubleshooting while protecting company data and internal systemsSkills3–5 years of experience in a DevOps, site reliability engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure automation roleStrong scripting and coding skills, with an emphasis on Python, software development best practices, and Git version controlAdvanced hands-on experience with AWSHands-on experience with API integrations, including REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven patternsExperience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormationStrong understanding of modern authentication and security principlesExperience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesExperience with monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, root cause analysis, and after-action reviewsAbility to follow change control procedures, assess operational risk, and support rollback planningStrong communication skills with the ability to document systems, share updates, and collaborate across technical teamsAvailability to work standard business hours aligned with Mountain TimeExperience integrating SaaS and cloud-based business platforms such as Salesforce, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or similar toolsExperience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDBUnderstanding of query optimization and database performance conceptsExperience implementing and managing automation workflows across infrastructure, SaaS, or operational environmentsExperience with Identity and Access Management systems, including SSO and SAML integrations with cloud platformsExperience using project tracking tools such as Jira to manage tasks, document progress, and report statusExperience handling service degradation, outages, root cause analysis, and long-term remediationHands-on experience using enterprise AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools to support automation, code generation, documentation, and troubleshootingExperience integrating AI or large language model APIs into automation or operational workflowsSound judgment around responsible AI use in a corporate environment, including keeping company code, data, and internal system details within approved enterprise-governed toolsA learning mindset and interest in using AI to reduce manual work, improve team output, and strengthen operational processesBenefitsDahl Consulting is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees that will allow you to choose the best coverage to meet your family’s needs.
