They are seeking a PHP Developer to join their cross-functional team, responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of their SaaS web applications and back-end systems.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Lead the end-to-end development of SaaS web applications; designing, developing, and maintaining PHP-based systems, RESTful APIs, and back-end services
ā¢ Build high-quality, secure, and reliable code, write and execute unit and system tests, troubleshoot and debug issues, and ensure applications are scalable and production-ready
ā¢ Create and maintain technical documentation and follow secure coding practices to protect applications from vulnerabilities
ā¢ Review and verify work completed by contract and offshore developers, prepare tickets for deployment, and ensure features are ready for production
ā¢ Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce coding standards, and identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across applications and databases to optimize speed and reliability
ā¢ Stay current with industry trends, PHP frameworks, and best practices, applying them to improve systems, workflows, and development standards
ā¢ Collaborate with architects and team members to design robust, scalable solutions that align with business and platform requirements
ā¢ Act as the main technical liaison between clients, account teams, and the offshore development group - clarifying requirements, translating needs into actionable technical plans, and ensuring accurate and timely delivery
ā¢ Manage pre-deployment checks, validate work against requirements, and maintain clear and proactive communication with all stakeholders
ā¢ Partner closely with front-end developers, UI/UX designers, QA, and product managers to deliver high-quality software
ā¢ Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences, troubleshoot breakdowns in process or communication, and support a collaborative environment
ā¢ Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and support their professional growth
Skills
ā¢ Experience building enterprise software with strong proficiency in PHP and modern frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter
ā¢ Ability to write clean, object-oriented code and fluency in building and consuming RESTful APIs
ā¢ Solid experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server), including schema design and query optimization
ā¢ Comfortable developing full-stack features that integrate HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Vue.js, React, or Angular
ā¢ Understanding of the full software development lifecycle and ability to contribute effectively to experienced engineering teams
ā¢ Proficiency with Git and modern collaboration workflows
ā¢ Hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and scaling enterprise SaaS applications
ā¢ Understanding of how to build reliable, maintainable, and secure systems
ā¢ Ability to contribute to code quality and continuous improvement
ā¢ Experience with AWS or Azure, Agile methodologies, SOC 2 considerations, Linux administration, Docker for local development, and collaborating with offshore teams
