Remote Pharmacy Technician
Job Title: Remote Pharmacy TechnicianJob DescriptionAs a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in reviewing Prior Authorizations for a Pharmacy Services department within a large healthcare insurance company. Your primary responsibilities include approving or denying authorizations and forwarding them to a Pharmacist for final review. You will handle all health plans and various types of medications.Responsibilities
Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and conducting member and physician outreach.
Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.
Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues.
Escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or provide direction on processing.
Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls.
Essential Skills
High School diploma or GED.
Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by the state of operation.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician.
Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of residence.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in call centers, PBM, hospital, or specialty pharmacy settings.
Ability to handle prescription benefits.
Work EnvironmentThis is a professional remote work environment. You will work across multiple screens and systems, requiring a strong Wi-Fi connection and a dedicated office space with a closed door. Equipment such as a computer, monitor, and headset will be provided.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
