Key Responsibilities

Support pharmacists with various tasks, such as filling prescriptions, counting and pouring medication, and verifying patient information.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the pharmacy counter and surrounding areas.
Handle phone calls and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
Process manual claims for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking shipments, and reporting discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with state and local regulations regarding controlled substances.
Maintain knowledge of store systems and equipment, including the point-of-sale system and other relevant technology.
Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with industry developments and company policies.


Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:


Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (except in Puerto Rico).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekend hours.
PTCB certification (or willingness to obtain) through the designated PTCB training program and/or state-required certification/licensure.


Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:


Six months of experience in a retail environment.
Previous work experience with Walgreens.
Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to accurately count, measure, and weigh prescriptions.
Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Knowledge of store inventory control procedures.
PTCB certification.
