This role involves achieving sales goals by implementing marketing strategies and building relationships with healthcare professionals through virtual means.ResponsibilitiesAssumes responsibility for achieving sales goals by implementing marketing and sales strategies aimed at effectively selling and promoting NN portfolio of products to HCPs and other office staff through remote/virtual meansDemonstrates competencies on a consistent basis with territory level impactFollows appropriate direction around virtual call scripts and call continuum decision treesFollows appropriate direction around # of outbound customer calls per day, as well as appropriate frequency to ensure customer and call continuumRecords notes of calls, including products discussed, key issues and concerns addressed, sales aids utilized, samples distributed, and any other information that will ensure maximum effectiveness for future sales callsSets follow up calls with customers based on call continuum plans and customer engagementResponsible for customer follow-up of inbound leads and for developing leads and referralsUtilizes understanding of the territory market including current market conditions, competitive market trends, priorities, and patient needs to develop and execute territory business plansImplements plans to gain virtual access to build and maintain business-relevant relationships with customers: prescribers, and support staff to drive business impact by collaborating around the clinical management of patients and offering NNI-approved solutionsDevelops and sustains internal relationships by collaborating across functions (e.g. Market access, Educators, etc.) by proactively sharing appropriate knowledge and business opportunities to impact customers. Researches, understands and tailors account plans based on stakeholders and accounts business practicesDemonstrates proficiency in implementing the Novo Nordisk selling model with external customers and during company sponsored meetingsDemonstrates professionalism and a customer-focused approach with internal and external stakeholders by actively listening, identifying and addressing customers and patients’ needs, and keeping commitmentsProactively communicates and coordinates with relevant internal stakeholders (territory sales team, DBM, RBD, etc.) to implement plans and define roles and responsibilities to ensure accountabilityDemonstrates a clear and thorough understanding of the disease state(s) and its impact on customers and patients including the full range of treatment options available including a detailed knowledge of both NNI and competitor productsDemonstrates thorough knowledge of all promoted NNI approved clinical studies and the skill to engage customers (prescribers, support staff, pharmacies) with fair balance on proper placement within the treatment continuumDemonstrates a clear and thorough understanding of the disease state(s) and its impact on customers and patients including the full range of treatment options available including a detailed knowledge of both NNI and competitor productsParticipates in and contributes product and disease state knowledge during sales and marketing meetings, training programs, conventions and displays as appropriateSkillsBachelor's or equivalent degree, and/or PharmD requiredIntermediate computer skills required (Windows, Word, Excel); Prior computer experience using sales data/call reporting software idealMust be a self-starter and able to work independently and exercise good business judgement and discretionMust possess excellent customer service skillsExcellent oral communication skillsSolid understanding of diabetes and obesity disease states and Novo Nordisk's products is needed, coupled with aptitude for learning and ability to communicate technical and scientific product and disease management informationAbility to establish rapport, build relationships and close salesPrevious experience in retail, non-retail/inside sales or customer service experience preferredBenefitsMedical, dental and vision coverageLife insuranceDisability insurance401(k) savings planFlexible spending accountsEmployee assistance programTuition reimbursement programVoluntary benefits such as group legal, critical illness, identity theft protection, pet insurance and auto/home insuranceTime off pursuant to its sick time policyFlex-able vacation policyParental leave policyCompany OverviewBioSpace is the leading online community for industry news and careers for life science professionals.
