[Remote] People Operations Specialist

The People Operations Specialist will execute systems and logistics that shape the employee experience, ensuring that Overflow's values are integrated throughout the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.ResponsibilitiesPartner with the Head of People to integrate HR policies with employee experience initiativesSupport the development and execution of people policies and infrastructure across the full employee lifecycle — recruiting operations, onboarding, systems management, benefits, terminations, and offboardingManage employee status and supporting data via Notion and GustoMaintain accurate internal tracking of the employee databaseExecute the culture onboarding program to ensure new hires experience Overflow's values from day oneManage and maintain the general tech stack and required software across users and paymentsSteward recognition programs that embed gratitude into daily rhythmsManage staff gifting and celebrations through Bonusly: birthdays, work anniversaries, and accomplishmentsEnsure Overflow's culture pillars — gratitude, hospitality, excellence, family, generosity, and relationship — are expressed consistently across the employee experienceExecute performance-driven and staff development gatherings led by the Head of People, including Team Intensives and SLT Onsite GatheringsManage RSVPs, travel arrangements, itineraries, reservations, and on-site event logisticsSource, negotiate, and manage vendors for catering, hotels, transportation, AV, and suppliesOwn full budget management for events: align vendor invoices, receipts, and payments; provide post-event reconciliations and insightsCollaborate with the Head of People and the Chief of Staff of the Executive Office to execute All-Staff Gatherings (e.g., Staff Retreat)Maintain stewardship and regular hygiene of the People Team budgetTrack, reconcile, and report event expenses in Brex with accuracy and accountabilityPartner with Finance to ensure timely and compliant monthly expense reportingEnsure IT infrastructure across office locations is functioning, including WiFiManage employee laptops and electronic propertySkills4+ years of demonstrated experience in People Ops, HR execution, Recruiting, and/or employee engagement rolesStrong organizational and project management skillsAbility to design systems that balance structure with human-centered careProven ability to partner with senior leaders to implement people systemsAlignment with Overflow's mission and values of generosity, gratitude, excellence, family, and relationshipExperience scaling people operations in high-growth environmentsSkilled in recognition, celebration, and culture-building programsDetail-oriented with experience stewarding department budgetsStrong communicator with the ability to connect executive-level strategy to daily practicesCreative and resourceful in making culture come alive in tangible waysBenefitsCompetitive base salary with equity eligibilityMedical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependentsGenerous paid time off and company holidaysPaid parental leave401(k) retirement planDedicated mental health and therapy stipend to support personal well-beingTeam retreats and intentional in-person gatherings throughout the yearCompany OverviewOverflow is an online donation platform that helps charities accept online donations of publicly-traded stock.
