They are seeking a Pavement Management Program Manager who will manage large scale projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while maintaining client satisfaction and safety standards.ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of a geotechnical, facilities, materials, or environmental engineering project to ensure that it is safely completed on time and within scope and budgetResponsible for completing the project as per its contracted scope; monitor progress and performance against the project planTroubleshoot and recommend or resolve operational problems and minimize delaysMay be responsible for resource management, project scheduling, budgets and forecasts, and working with external vendors, subcontractors or contractorsConducts meetings and prepares reports to communicate the status of the project to project team and clientSet priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestonesMay have responsibilities to communicate with the client and deliver work products to satisfaction of clientCoordinates effort with APR to make sure that APR has opportunity to engage throughout the project, particularly at critical juncturesIs involved with approving invoices, preparing change orders, and collectionsMay also be tasked with growing a support team to assist in managing projects and continued growth over timeResponsible for some client development including discussing Pavement Consulting Services with potential clientsResponsible for managing large scale (major) projects, National Account and/or Sector Programs comprised multiple individual projects each with designed project managersWorks with clients to define project scope, scale, schedule and budget in addition to determining how best to manage the projects to meet the clientâs needsLeads interactions with client, stakeholders and project managers to ensure the program and/or projects or aspects of projects are coordinated, managed and delivered to meet the needs of the client and stakeholdersDesign, communicate, and implement a project/program management plans including schedules for completing projectsLeads safety efforts for the entire program including preparation and compliance with approved safety planResolve operational problems across multiple project interfaces to minimize delaysIdentify, develop, and gather key resources to lead the individual projectsOversees the preparation, design and development of work specifications; develop schedules, cash flow, budgets and forecasts; select materials, equipment, project staff, and contractorsEstimate costs, resources, and time required to completePrepares forecasts for expenditures and manages scope, schedule to meet budgetMonitor activities, allocate resources, and assign tasks to ensure targets are metWorks with operational leadership. National Account Managers (NAM) and Sector leaders with responsibility for mega project and program financial successPartner with project managers to work with other departments or offices to secure specialized resources for project(s)Conduct project and program meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project(s) within and beyond the project or client teamSupports the NAMs, Sectors and operations with and/or directs the efforts of the largest projects and client pursuits including strategy and facilitationCoach and mentor project managers and assist them to solve problemsCoordinates with the quality team to ensure appropriate oversight is in place and sufficient time allowed for quality reviewsCoordinates with lead project accountant for financial management of business intelligence, invoicing and collectionsManage risk related to projects. Ensure contracts are signed and fully executed prior to commencing work. Monitor adherence to corporate risk policies and practices. Hold Managers accountable for mitigating or eliminating riskCommunicates safety initiatives, rules and guidelines for Office or Region. Holds Managers and Employees accountable for following safety rules and guidelinesPromote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Ensure best practices are being followed and hold Managers accountable for quality control standardsSkillsBachelor's degree in technical discipline practices by the Firm including Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology and a minimum of 15 years' related experience.
