Remote Patient Intake Coordinator - Night Shift (TN Only)

Join the Knoxville Center for Behavioral Medicine in a pivotal role supporting our mission to improve behavioral health in Tennessee! As a Remote Patient Intake Coordinator, you'll be the first point of contact for potential patients, guiding them through the admissions process and ensuring a seamless transition to care. No prior experience is necessary – we provide comprehensive training!

This is a full-time, PRN, night shift position offering an immediate start. You'll play a vital role in a 64-bed acute inpatient setting, providing oversight for IOP/PHP services to adult and geriatric clients facing severe behavioral health and/or substance use disorders. You will be a key link between patients, referral sources, providers, and nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Screen incoming calls from referral sources, providing compassionate and informative assistance.
Accurately document patient information during the intake process, ensuring appropriate hospital service decisions.
Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing EMR systems for data entry and record-keeping.
Communicate effectively with providers and nursing staff to facilitate efficient and appropriate admissions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
