[Remote] Patient Access Specialist
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Smarter Technologies is seeking Patient Access Specialists to work collaboratively with health organizations and doctor offices. The role involves scheduling patient appointments and providing advanced patient support over the phone, while ensuring a positive experience for every patient.ResponsibilitiesAnswer a high volume of calls a day using a multi-line phone. (80+ calls/day)Schedule appointments for multiple clinical sites according to client-specific protocolsGather & input patient demographic and insurance information into the practice management systemReport complex clinical issues to the appropriate supervisor/client partnerDocument call activity, outcomes, and other notes as needed in the client systemWork collaboratively with colleagues to meet the goals and objectives of the departmentAssist callers and navigate them to the appropriate resourcesMust meet all attendance and performance standardsSkills1 year of experience in healthcare patient service1 year of experience handling a high volume of inbound callsExperience using an EMR and scheduling softwareExcellent communication skills over the phoneStrong Internet Speed & access to router via Ethernet Cord (Minimum speed: 20mbps Download & 6mbps Upload)Call Center experienceAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of attention to detailCompany OverviewSmarter Technologies is a healthcare technology company that provides AI-driven revenue cycle management platforms for hospitals.
