[Remote] Part-Time HR Operations & Payroll Specialist (20 Hours/Week)

Eastport Analytics is seeking an experienced HR Operations & Payroll Specialist to support the day-to-day delivery of HR services across the employee lifecycle. This role serves as a key resource for payroll administration, benefits support, onboarding, offboarding, and HR operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and focused on building efficient processes while delivering exceptional employee service.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and support payroll processing, ensuring accurate employee and payroll dataServe as a primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiriesAdminister employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and employee communicationsEnsure accuracy of payroll and benefits-related records and transactionsExecute day-to-day HR transactions, including hires, terminations, employee changes, and HRIS updatesMaintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity across HR systemsRespond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, and general HR mattersPrepare and process HR documentation in a timely and compliant mannerCoordinate onboarding activities to ensure a positive new hire experienceManage background check processes and other pre-employment requirementsManage offboarding activities, including documentation and system updatesPartner with hiring managers to ensure seamless employee transitionsSupport HR compliance, reporting, and audit activitiesMaintain organized and accurate HR recordsIdentify opportunities to improve HR processes and operational efficiencyFollow established HR policies, procedures, and best practicesSkills4+ years of experience in HR operations, HR administration, or shared servicesExperience supporting payroll and benefits administrationStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyExcellent customer service, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work independentlyExperience with HRIS and payroll systems; Paylocity experience is preferredAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive informationPaylocity experience is preferredBenefitsBonus payPaid time off and flex timeEmployer funded 401KProfessional developmentAn inclusive professional work environmentFun quarterly eventsCompany OverviewEastport Analytics provides decision-analytic services for business analysts and decision-makers.
