The Paid Media Lead will execute and optimize programmatic display and paid media campaigns, collaborating with internal stakeholders and agency partners to drive measurable business outcomes.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with internal stakeholders and agency partners to support programmatic display and paid media strategies across awareness, consideration, and demand generation campaignsPlan, launch, and manage paid media campaigns across DSPs and platforms including DV360, Google Ads, YouTube, and Connected TVExecute media buys across trade publications and digital channels, including sponsorships, high-impact placements, contextual targeting, and video activationsManage and optimize Google Ads campaigns across display, YouTube, and remarketing initiativesLeverage audience, contextual, retargeting, intent, and ABM targeting strategies to improve campaign performance and efficiencyAnalyze campaign, audience, and conversion data to optimize bids, budgets, pacing, creative rotation, frequency, and targeting strategiesSupport budget planning, forecasting, pacing, and performance-based media allocation decisionsLeverage ZoomInfo Marketing to support audience strategy, account-based targeting, and programmatic activationPartner closely with analytics, web, content, and regional marketing teams to support campaign execution, attribution, landing page performance, and lead conversionTranslate campaign performance data into clear insights, reporting, and actionable recommendations for stakeholdersManage relationships with agencies, publishers, platforms, and vendors to support effective campaign execution and performance optimizationStay informed on industry trends and evolving best practices across privacy, identity, AI-driven optimization, and digital mediaApply strong project management and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environmentMaintain strong attention to detail while balancing strategic objectives with day-to-day campaign executionSkills5–8+ years of experience managing paid media campaigns, including programmatic display and Google AdsBachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related fieldStrong command of DSPs, audience strategies, and measurement frameworksStrong knowledge and expertise of advertising platforms (Google Adwords, Zoominfo Marketing, etc)Working knowledge of YouTube buying and measurementExperience in keyword and contextual targeting and audience targeting techniques, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasetsExperience with publisher-direct and trade publication media buysStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data and translate insights into optimization recommendationsComfortable balancing campaign execution with strategic thinking and performance optimizationClear communicator who can push back on ineffective or low-value media buysAbility to effectively communicate, engage, and work well with internal clientsProven aptitude in a high velocity environmentAbility to reprioritize multiple projects as deadlines and objectives changeIdeal candidate can understand and translate technical concepts accurately to a non-technical audienceWorks proactively and always thinks aheadExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to 'think outside of the box'Experience in B2B, enterprise, or long buying-cycle environments preferredBenefitsNon-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonusSales employees may be eligible for a sales commissionMedical, dental, and vision plansParticipation in 401(K) (USA) & DCPP (Canada) with company matchingEmployee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Company-paid holidaysPaid sick leaveVacation timePaid Family Leave and other leaves of absenceCompany OverviewCiena collaborates with customers to unlock the strategic potential of their networks and and change the way they perform and compete.
