Thyssenkrupp Materials NA is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to increase profitable sales in a defined geographical area by servicing and developing customers with an emphasis on major and target accounts. The role involves establishing relationships with key buying influences, developing market plans, and providing training on products and services.ResponsibilitiesDetermine key buying influences at existing and potential customers and establish a working relationshipDevelop a market plan for territory with quantifiable goals and objectives supported by action plans and benchmarks for measuring progressAssist inside sales on special accounts and/or projectsProvides assistance to credit managers as requiredSchedule and perform sales calls and/or visitsEstimate customer’s usage of products and estimates of business units participationConduct training sessions on product and services with both customers and business unit employeesFollow the transaction pricing that deviates from the business units pricing and report significant occurrences and trends to managementCommunicate customer product and quality requirements to inside sales and operationsRecommend additions/deletions to product catalogue and company servicesInitiate and monitor E-item inventory requirementsProvide recommendations regarding current/potential advertisingContinually increase knowledge of company products, services and proceduresContinual maintenance and updating of customer databaseDaily downloading, review and follow up of quotesDaily review of daily sales for customer thank you and order reviewThis is a position that works directly on or around motor vehicle equipmentMeets TKMNA Employee Attributes/CompetenciesSkills2 year college degree or equivalent experience1 year public/customer interaction1-year sales experienceSafety MindsetCompletion/working towards 4 year degree (sales, business, marketing)3-5 years sales experienceMetallurgy training and/or experiencePublic speaking experienceGeneral computer skillsBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision InsuranceLife Insurance and DisabilityVoluntary Wellness Programs401(k) or RRSP programs with Company MatchPaid Vacation and HolidaysTuition ReimbursementCompany Overviewthyssenkrupp Materials is a mining & metals company providing metals processing and metallurgical laboratory services.
