They are seeking an experienced OSP Project Manager to oversee the planning and execution of outside plant projects, ensuring timely repair and maintenance of their telecommunications infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the planning and execution of outside plant break/fix from inception to completionDevelop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for projects as requiredCoordinate with internal teams (engineering, construction, design) and external stakeholders (clients, vendors, contractors) to ensure SLA objectives are metOversee OSP activities, including fiber placement, splicing coordination, make-ready support, restoration, and maintenanceEnsure work aligns with construction prints, permits, and engineering specificationsOversee project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled, and projects are delivered on time and within scopeEstablish, monitor, and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of deliverables and supporting workflows in order to measure operational performance, as well as identify and assess areas of opportunity for improved process efficiencies and performanceAllocate resources effectively to meet project requirements, including manpower, equipment, and materials. Timely update of budget requests, purchase orders, project close outsIdentify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid delays or budget overrunsResolve any issues that arise during the course of the project, including procurement delays, resource shortages, or technical challengesMaintain clear and continuous communication with all stakeholders, including clients, senior management, project teams, and vendorsPrepare regular progress reports and updates on project status, addressing any concerns or changes to scope, cost, or scheduleManage and maintain customer communications in partnership with the NOC throughout Fiber restoration and maintenance processesWork jointly with the leadership from the NOC, Construction, Project Management, Engineering, and Change management teamsEnsure the project is completed in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standardsConduct regular quality inspections and audits throughout the project to ensure adherence to design specifications and industry best practicesManage relationships with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring their performance aligns with project requirements and timelinesReview and manage contracts, change orders, and procurement processes as neededEnsure that all project-related documentation, including contracts, permits, and reports, is properly maintained and storedEnsure compliance with local regulations, permits, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycleSkillsMust have working knowledge of structured cabling and routingMust be familiar with email, MS Excel, Word, Google EarthProven experience managing large-scale OSP projects, including fiber optic and cable installationsAbility to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectivelyMust be able to read and understand construction documentsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholdersStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project conditionsKnowledge of safety regulations, quality control, and construction standards in OSP projectsAbility to pass MVR check and drive company vehicle in accordance with Fleet PolicyHigh school diploma or equivalent, requiredBachelor's degree required in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, or a related field, preferred, or additional years of experience may be used in lieu of this preferenceAt least five (5) years of experience in the telecommunications industry with outside plant, fiber optics, telecommunication architectures, optical transport equipment, and project management experienceAbility to visit project sites and walk in construction areasAbility to sit at a desk for extended periodsAbility to handle stress and multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentBenefitsNon- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan.Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.Health insuranceLife insuranceDisability retirement plansPaid time offExcellent Health, Dental & Vision InsuranceRetirement 401(k) Savings PlanGenerous paid time off policy including paid parental leaveCompany OverviewFor more than 18 years, Zayo Group of companies has helped the world’s most ambitious organizations build the infrastructure behind what’s next.
