Job Title: Oracle Cloud Payables Functional Consultant (AP SME – Tax / Vertex Focus) Location: Remote (U.S. based, EST/CST preferred) Duration: 6+ Months Contract (Extension likely) Work Authorization: USC, GC, EAD Job Type: W2 Overview: We are seeking a Senior Oracle Cloud Payables Functional Consultant (AP SME) with deep expertise in Accounts Payable, Payments, and AP Tax (including Vertex integration). This role is part of a large-scale P2P implementation, requiring strong experience in invoice processing, tax/withholding, and integrations with Coupa and SAP Concur. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Oracle AP tax configurations, including indirect tax, withholding tax, and integration with tax engines such as Vertex, and will lead end-to-end AP solution delivery. Must Have Skills Expert-level Oracle Cloud Accounts Payable (AP) functional experience Strong hands-on expertise in: Invoice processing (PO & non-PO) Payments and disbursements AP tax configurations (indirect tax, VAT, sales/use tax) Withholding tax (WHT) Experience with Vertex tax engine integration (AP tax determination and calculation) Strong understanding of invoice taxation across multiple countries Experience with AP integrations: SAP Concur Coupa Experience in data conversions, global rollouts, and P2P processes Key Responsibilities: Payables & Tax Functional Leadership Lead end-to-end Oracle Cloud Payables (AP) implementation Configure and support: Invoice lifecycle (PO, non-PO, matching) Payment processing and disbursements Design and implement AP tax solutions, including: Invoice tax determination Tax rules, regimes, and jurisdictions Withholding tax (WHT) setups Configure and support Vertex integration with Oracle AP for automated tax calculation AP Tax & Compliance (CRITICAL) Lead multi-country AP tax implementations, including VAT, GST, and sales/use tax Define and configure tax rules for supplier invoices and expense invoices Ensure compliance with global tax regulations and reporting requirements Troubleshoot and resolve tax calculation and invoice taxation issues Work with finance and tax teams to align tax reporting and accounting flows Integrations (Critical) Design and lead AP integrations with tax engines (Vertex), SAP Concur, and Coupa Define functional requirements for: Invoice interfaces Tax calculation flows Work with technical teams (OIC/APIs) to troubleshoot tax and invoice integration issues Business Expansion / Rollouts Lead onboarding of new companies/business units into Oracle Cloud AP Configure: Ledger, business unit, and supplier setups Tax configurations aligned to new entities Ensure consistency across global financial and tax processes Data Conversion & Reconciliation Lead data conversions into Oracle Cloud AP, including: FBDI templates for invoices, suppliers, and tax data Validate tax-related data during migration Perform data reconciliation using OTBI and BI Publisher (BIP)
