[Remote] Operations Manager - Billing

They are seeking an Operations Manager - Billing to oversee client billing workflows, develop key performance indicators, and ensure compliance with policies and laws while fostering a positive work environment.ResponsibilitiesSupervises billing leadership and staff, including hiring, training new team members, performance evaluation, workload allocation, and professional developmentServes as the department’s subject matter expert on coding and billing processesServes as the subject matter expert for each project’s clearinghouse and advises best practices within the client’s clearinghouseResponsible for reviewing improvements with clients pertaining to billing and DNFB recommendationsResponsible for reviewing, advising, and building clearinghouse edits and bridge routines to ensure industry standard clean claim ratesEnsure compliance with HIPAA, State, and Federal laws and guidelines among team membersImplement audit and productivity standards to uphold compliance across the billing teamsEnsure leadership teams are informed proactively pertaining to client billing issues and opportunities; attend client meetings as needed for explanationsStrive to meet or exceed all KPIs and goalsCoach and mentor supervisors when employees do not meet expectationsDesign, implement, and maintain billing best practice workflows and policiesFoster teamwork and a positive working environmentSupport supervisors with team member payroll accuracy and approvals as neededParticipate in client or internal meetings as requestedComplete all assigned projects promptlyPerform other related duties as neededSkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate degree preferredBachelor's degree in healthcare management or a related field (preferred)CRCR certification required or must be obtained within 90 days of hireMinimum 5 years of experience as a revenue cycle lead or supervisor, including direct reportsMinimum 5 years of hands-on billing experienceExperience working with multiple clearinghouses and EHR systemsCurrent billing certification (CPB) or actively pursuing certificationUnderstanding of healthcare revenue cycle administration, including CMS rules, HIPAA, and record retention guidelinesFamiliarity with time management and continuous performance improvementUnderstanding of IPO, WMM, and WMB processesCompetence in basic mathStrong written and verbal communication skillsInitiative and adaptability in learning new software applicationsAbility to mentor, coach, and develop team membersAdvanced analytical skills and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in time management, leadership, decision-making, and ethical standardsIndependence in managing and carrying out projectsPositive attitude and professional demeanorOpenness to feedback and commitment to growth and improvementReliability, punctuality, and flexibility to adapt to changeAbility to demonstrate accountability and measurable achievements within the revenue cycleCompany OverviewThe Currance approach proprietary technologies, and the proven ability to engage, train, and mentor employees.
