[Remote] Operations Associate

The Operations Associate role involves managing client tax compliance needs, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and providing problem resolution for complex issues.ResponsibilitiesDeliver client services utilizing Sovos’ Tax Information Reporting (1099), Affordable Care Act, Sales and Use Tax Reporting, FATCA, Unclaimed Property, and/or Certificate Management softwareEnsure compliance with applicable taxing authorities (IRS, State and Local Governments) and client-specified procedures by adhering to internal policies and proceduresIdentify, prioritize, and resolve client issues; coordinate appropriate internal departments to provide timely response and solutionsProvide assistance to Compliance Services Associates in building domain expertise and resolving client issuesMaintain goals and key measures to ensure progress and alignment with desired business outcomes for clientsIdentify process improvements and offer suggestions to build internal efficiencies and reduce risk; lead internal process improvement projectsFoster continuous improvement efforts; offer ideas and feedback to generate new and innovative ideas for ongoing Company improvements and enhancementsAssist the management team in tracking team activities to ensure timely and accurate completionEnsure internal policies and procedures are adhered to based on established guidelinesSupport team members in their ongoing training and development by leading training sessions, creating training materials, and providing daily mentoringPerform other duties and special projects as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree or equivalent related work experienceMinimum of 1–2 years of experience in a client support / services capacityExcellent time management, decision-making, and organizational skillsDetail-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent interpersonal and professional communication skillsDue to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hireBenefitsFlexible Time-OffComprehensive Health, Dental and Vision benefits401(k) with employee sponsored matchBi-Weekly Meeting Free DaysMentoring ProgramsGlobally recognized Training and Development programsTuition Reimbursement, Time off to Volunteer, Charitable Giving Match, and more!Company OverviewSovos provides IT-driven global tax, compliance, and trust solutions for businesses in an evolving regulatory landscape.
