We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Remote Ocean Strategy Specialist to join our team at FedEx Logistics. As a key player in our ocean product development, you will execute strategies to support the growth of ocean volumes, enhance carrier development, and analyze carrier performance. This is a remote opportunity with a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to increase ocean volumes, maximize competitiveness, and enhance service quality
Work closely with the Managing Director of Ocean to support carrier development, pricing, and service issues
Analyze carrier performance, routings, and service issues to identify areas for improvement
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to communicate strategy, market conditions, and direction
Conduct regular service reviews to ensure agreed-upon KPIs are being met or exceeded
Manage annual budget, control, monitor, and report results to achieve budget targets
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 8 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry
Direct ocean experience in working with ocean contracts, negotiating ocean rates, quoting ocean rates, and analyzing ocean rates and routing
Prior ocean carrier experience is a plus
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Strong business acumen and leadership skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
