[Remote] North America Sales Manager, EIT (Remote)

Tenneco is a leading supplier in the aerospace and defense industries, and they are seeking a North America Sales Manager for their EIT division. The role involves business development across various market segments including Aircraft/Aerospace and Military/Defense, while coordinating sales strategies and managing relationships with OEMs and distributors.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for North American business development in the EIT which includes Aircraft/Aerospace, Military/Defense, Rail, and Industrial market segments. New focus areas include Data Centers, BESS, and Huminoid Robotics. Acts as the focal point for Aircraft/Aerospace and Military/Defense sales activity. Coordinates the sales activities through direct OEM specification development/tier suppliers, and the management/coordination of a rep and Distribution networkDevelop and coordinate the sales and marketing strategies for the EIT market segments to include sales, product, and market direction, as well as, new product development, which offer the potential for further market penetration and gross profitIn coordination with the Global Sales Manager - EIT, coordinate develop, monitor and coordinate pricing and pricing strategies to the marketWork with industry specification committees (SAE Aerospace/ARINC…) to contribute and follow the development and evolution of specifications and be proactive to assist with developments of new productsDevelop and implement business plans in line with the strategic objectives of the Group. The business plan should focus on increasing sales, gross margin, market share, and our competitive advantageAnalyze performance towards stated objectives on a quarterly basis and recommend contingencies or plans of action, when performance is not meeting objectivesPromote and enhance the image of Tenneco SP as the pre-eminent supplier of protection products to the Aircraft/Aerospace and military industriesWork with Product Management and Research & Development to ensure new proprietary product developments and/or product modifications satisfy the customer’s expectations and needsResponsible for the monthly reporting of the US activity including the key objectives, new business opportunities, quotes and new product developmentsThe activities and responsibilities noted above will be initiated and carried out with a high level of initiative, drive and creativitySkillsUniversity degree in Business or Engineering requiredExperience in the Aerospace, Defense or Rail industryAt least five (5) years sales experience should include market development, product positioning, 'specification' selling and sales channel developmentMust have a manufacturer rep and distribution sales management experienceMust be a proactive, innovative and a self-starter, with excellent communication skills, high energy and the ability to interact and communicate at all levels of an organizationMust be willing to travel at a minimum of 50%Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to evaluate and solve customer problemsPC literate to include Microsoft Office packageTeam player/effective net worker/good listening skillsREMOTE position - Virginia area preferredCompany OverviewTenneco is a manufacturing company that designs and markets automotive products.
