[Remote] Nokia Radio Frequency Optimization Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. First Point Group is seeking a highly skilled 5G Optimizer with extensive experience in 5G and LTE network performance optimization. The role requires a subject matter expert in Radio Network Planning and Optimization with deep technical knowledge of Nokia equipment and strong troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities include performing RAN optimization, conducting call flow analysis, and leading small optimization teams. Responsibilities • Perform 5G/4G RAN optimization on Ericsson equipment, with focus on NSA, SA, and VoNR performance • Conduct in-depth call flow analysis, identifying signaling issues in both NSA and SA architectures • Optimize KPIs such as access success rate, throughput, drop rates, handover performance, and VoLTE metrics • Troubleshoot and tune advanced 5G features including: • Carrier Aggregation (CA) • Massive MIMO, Beamforming, Network slicing, mmWave deployments • Use drive test data to analyze mobility issues, overshooting cells, and coverage imbalance • Apply intelligent parameter changes on Nokia 5G • Recommend optimization actions beyond tilt adjustments, including CRS gain tuning, footprint shaping, and reselection parameters • Lead small optimization teams and communicate directly with customer technical teams Skills • Extensive experience in 5G and LTE network performance optimization • Subject matter expert (SME) in Radio Network Planning and Optimization (NPO) • Deep technical knowledge of Nokia equipment • Signaling procedures expertise • Drive test analysis experience • KPI improvement strategies knowledge • Hands-on experience with post-processing and data visualization tools • Strong troubleshooting skills • Strong communication skills • Perform 5G/4G RAN optimization on Ericsson equipment, with focus on NSA, SA, and VoNR performance • Conduct in-depth call flow analysis, identifying signaling issues in both NSA and SA architectures • Optimize KPIs such as access success rate, throughput, drop rates, handover performance, and VoLTE metrics • Troubleshoot and tune advanced 5G features including Carrier Aggregation (CA), Massive MIMO, Beamforming, Network slicing, mmWave deployments • Use drive test data to analyze mobility issues, overshooting cells, and coverage imbalance • Apply intelligent parameter changes on Nokia 5G • Recommend optimization actions beyond tilt adjustments, including CRS gain tuning, footprint shaping, and reselection parameters • Lead small optimization teams and communicate directly with customer technical teams • Remote work capability • Dallas Texas Preferred Company Overview • First Point Group is the global telecoms and technology recruitment industry in its business.
