Progressive Technology is seeking a meticulous and creative Remote Newsletter Proofreader to support content creators by ensuring newsletters are polished, engaging, and error-free. You will play a key role in refining written communications across various niches—from lifestyle to technology—and helping creators deliver professional, high-quality content to their subscribers. This is a fully remote, flexible-hours role ideal for grammar enthusiasts and editorial perfectionists who understand the creator economy.
Key Responsibilities

Proofread and edit digital newsletters for grammar, punctuation, spelling, tone, clarity, and formatting.
• *
Ensure content aligns with brand voice, style guides, and subscriber expectations.
• *
Provide constructive feedback to writers or content creators to enhance quality and readability.
• *
Verify accuracy of facts, links, and embedded media within newsletters.
• *
Collaborate with creators, content managers, and designers to ensure cohesive final drafts.
• *
Track proofreading requests, meet daily/weekly deadlines, and maintain version control.
• *
Use tools like Google Docs, Grammarly, Notion, or CMS platforms to manage revisions and updates.
• Required Skills and Qualifications
• *
Strong command of the English language and excellent grammar/spelling skills.
• *
Proven proofreading or editorial experience in digital content, journalism, publishing, or marketing.
• *
Familiarity with modern newsletter platforms such as Substack, Mailchimp, or ConvertKit.
• *
Ability to maintain consistency in tone, style, and formatting across diverse subjects and industries.
• *
Highly organized with an eye for detail and a love for correcting inconsistencies or ambiguities.

Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new software and digital tools quickly.
• Experience

1–3 years of experience in proofreading, copyediting, or content writing.

Prior work with digital creators, newsletter teams, or media companies is a plus.
