The Neuroscience Sales Specialist is responsible for achieving sales goals by building customer relationships and providing product education to healthcare professionals.ResponsibilitiesPromote Acadia products to HCPs in person and virtually, providing clinical, disease state, and reimbursement information in a compliant and customer-focused mannerDevelop and execute a territory business plan to meet or exceed sales objectives, leveraging market data, customer insights, and quarterly action plansEstablish and maintain strong relationships with HCPs, including key opinion leaders, advocacy organizations, and other healthcare stakeholdersAddress customer questions, concerns, and objections using advanced dialogue and selling skillsTailor approved sales aids, clinical reprints, and brand resources to meet specific customer needsPartner with internal colleagues (e.g., managed markets, operations, sales training, marketing) to deliver coordinated solutionsProvide guidance on product pricing, reimbursement, and specialty distribution channels, acting as a liaison between customers and the Company for access-related issuesAccurately track and report sales activities, business expenses, and customer interactions in a timely mannerRepresent Acadia at conferences, exhibits, and trainings; participate in national, regional, and local meetings as requiredMentor and train new sales specialists as needed, and contribute to cross-functional projects and field strategic insightsSkillsBachelor's degree required; life sciences preferredMinimum 1+ years of sales experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare; neuroscience preferredMinimum 5+ years of healthcare sales (2+ in complex/account-based selling) for Senior SpecialistDemonstrated advanced selling skills, leadership abilities, and business acumenProven success in influencing diverse HCP audiences across multiple care settingsStrong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skillsAbility to work independently, adapt to change, and deliver consistently high resultsMust reside within the territory (or within 30 miles of its border) and possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to meet travel requirements, including significant driving and overnight stays; air travel as neededMust comply with vaccination requirements for HCP office access, long-term care facilities, and medical conferencesDeep understanding of neuroscience disease states, Acadia products, and local/regional market dynamicsAbility to serve as a trusted resource in the medical communityProficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual engagement platforms (e.g., Zoom, WebEx)Strong grasp of payer dynamics, including Part D and specialty pharmacy/hub distributionBenefitsCompetitive base, bonus, new hire and ongoing equity packagesMedical, dental, and vision insuranceEmployer-paid life, disability, business travel and EAP coverage401(k) Plan with a fully vested company match 1:1 up to 5%Employee Stock Purchase Plan with a 2-year purchase price lock-in15+ vacation days13 -15 paid holidays, including office closure between December 24th and January 1st10 days of paid sick timePaid parental leave benefitTuition assistanceCompany OverviewAt Acadia, our mission is to turn scientific promise into meaningful innovation that makes the difference for underserved neurological disorders and rare disease communities around the world.
