[Remote] Network Systems Engineer (Pre-Sales)

The Network Systems Engineer will provide pre-sales technical support to enterprise and commercial clients, acting as a trusted advisor and collaborating with sales teams to design and propose network solutions.ResponsibilitiesYou will partner with the Arista Account Managers to understand customer challenge and conduct whiteboard network architectural reviews. In addition, you will conduct Arista product presentations of Arista’s Open Networking Data Center and Cognitive Campus (including Wifi) networking solutions, CloudVision (Network Automation), Security (Network Detection and Response), Endpoint Security(Network Access Control), and Real-time Fabric Monitoring solutions(Network Packet Broker.)You will architect, design, and propose Arista Data Center & Campus network solutions using leaf-spine architectures (VxLAN, EVPN) and network overlays to capture additional salesPerform hands-on tests to validate customer proof-of-concept setups, Data Center and Campus network designs, and network deployments using new products and featuresPut together design guidelines and recommend improvements to customers for the networks they supportPartner with Sales Team to respond to RFP/RFQsProvide feedback to Product Management and EngineeringRepresent Arista at industry events and conferencesKeep up-to-date on competitive solutions, products, and servicesAuthor white papers on technology and productSkillsYou possess at least 7+ years of L2/L3 networking design and implementation experience focusing on Data Center and Campus networksYou possess expert-level expertise in routing and switching, including L2/L3 protocols, Wi-Fi is a plusExpert knowledge in three or more of the following areas: Ethernet, RSTP/ MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, BGP, eBGP, VxLAN, EVPN, Multicast, Spanning Tree, QoSExpert-level knowledge of industry-standard CLILocal/Regional candidates onlyBachelor's degree in technical fields preferredNetwork Industry Certification preferred (e.g. ACE:L5, CCIE, JNCIE)Demonstrated work experience as either a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales SE, or Network Consulting Engineer preferredPrevious experience with network overlays is preferredPrevious experience building network automation using Python and Ansible desiredKnowledge of competitive products, solutions, and servicesAbility to write white papers a plusBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionWellbeingTax savingsIncome protectionCompany OverviewArista Networks is a computer networking firm delivering cloud networking solutions for large data center and computer environments.
