The role focuses on advanced network engineering tasks and strategic network architecture, ensuring optimal network performance and reliability.ResponsibilitiesDedicate approximately 75% of the time to advanced network engineering tasks and on-call duties, including managing all edge services and the MPLS mesh in datacenters, overseeing private Azure express route circuits, and administering DNS services hosted in AzureAllocate around 25% of the time to strategic network architecture and design dutiesTake a leading role in an on-call Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) rotation to swiftly address and resolve network incidentsCollaborate closely with software engineers to integrate advanced network tools for enhanced monitoring, rapid response, and efficient remediationExecute the planning, implementation, and maintenance of routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancing to ensure optimal network performance, security, and reliabilityProactively troubleshoot and resolve network issues, managing escalations and providing mentorship to junior engineers when necessaryDevelop and maintain comprehensive documentation and provide advanced training to stakeholders to ensure effective network management and incident responseSkills10+ years of extensive experience in network engineering, with a strong track record in managing global network infrastructure and implementing enterprise network automation solutionsDeep expertise in network protocols, routing, switching, firewall configurations, and overall network infrastructure managementAdvanced proficiency with network automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Python) for developing and deploying robust automation solutionsSignificant experience using and configuring network monitoring tools, employing advanced troubleshooting techniquesIn-depth knowledge of network security, including VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and best practices for securing network infrastructureStrong ability to create and maintain detailed network documentationExcellent communication skills to effectively liaise with team members, partner engineering teams, and stakeholdersCompany OverviewFounded and incorporated in 2012 , Info Way Solutions is an IT services and consulting company headquartered in Fremont , CA.
