The role involves installing, maintaining, and configuring network hardware and software, resolving technical issues, and ensuring network efficiency and security.ResponsibilitiesProvides technical support for the Bank’s data or voice network infrastructureInstalls, maintains, and configures network hardware and softwareResolves technical issues reported by users or system alertsResponsible for network components, asset inventory, and capacity planning, including developing and documenting network device upgradesDrives operational excellence and network efficiency, providing continuous service both through daily activities and through on-call rotation for after-hours supportProvides advanced technical support for data or voice network systemsMaintains devices, servers, and other related network components including IP address management, Domain Name Services, Bank communication applications, and othersWorks with end users and vendors to resolve identified hardware and software issuesResponsible for administration, communication, and documentation throughout technical support activitiesMaintains network hardware and software standards utilized across the teamMonitors and audits network to determine performanceReviews system-generated events to identify, analyze, and resolve issuesAssists in threat mitigation and network security activities by researching code for security vulnerabilitiesWorks to continuously improve network capacity, operations, and infrastructureConfigures and installs new hardware and software as neededFacilitates overall network capabilitiesMaintains a strong knowledge base of network software, hardware, and related infrastructureCommunicates effective and clear technical information to associates, vendors, and end usersMay assist with special technical projectsSkillsPosition requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Electronic Engineering, or other related field plus four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years of experience as a Systems Integration Engineer, Network Specialist, Network Engineer, Network Analyst, Network Administrator, IT Coordinator or a related occupationPosition requires experience with computer hardware skills, including setup, troubleshooting, software installation, networking, upgrades, and documentationRequires data analysis skills, including spreadsheet entry, import/export, pivot table, dashboards, reporting, sorting, and cleaningRequires knowledge of wide-area network (WAN), virtual private network (VPN), and converged servicesRequires knowledge of networking technologies and networking protocols including Transmission Control Protocol/ Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), information processes and technology (IPT), and voice over internet protocol (VOIP)Requires knowledge of Cisco and Cabletron hubs and routersRequires knowledge of Automatic Call Distribution (ACD), Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Electronic, Computer and Software Systems (ECS) and related security protocolsRequires knowledge of Token Ring, Ethernet, Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FIDDI), and FastEthernetRequires excellent technical skills regarding network routing, switching and provisioningBenefitsThe position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay.First Citizens offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits program which you can review here: https://jobs.firstcitizens.com/benefits.Company OverviewFirst Citizens Bank provides banking services, essential business and professional services, wealth management capabilities, and more.
