[Remote] Network Engineer (Arista)

Calance is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, support, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The role focuses primarily on Arista networking technologies and Palo Alto Networks security solutions, requiring strong experience in modern networking concepts and cloud-based security controls.ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure utilizing Arista wired and wireless networking solutionsConfigure, troubleshoot, and optimize Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking environmentsSupport and manage Palo Alto Networks (PAN) firewalls and security platformsImplement and maintain modern routing protocols and network architectures, including:BGPOSPFVLANsVRFsECMPHigh Availability (HA) designsMonitor network performance, availability, and security across corporate and cloud environmentsSupport cloud networking and security initiatives within AWSAdminister and maintain AWS WAF policies and protections for web applicationsProvide operational support for existing FortiGate Web Application Firewall (WAF) environments and assist with migration or decommissioning efforts as the organization transitions away from Fortinet WAF solutionsCollaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams to ensure reliable and secure connectivityParticipate in incident response, root cause analysis, and network optimization projectsCreate and maintain network documentation, diagrams, standards, and operational proceduresSkills5+ years of experience in network engineering or network administrationStrong hands-on experience with Arista wired networking (switching and routing)Experience supporting Arista wireless solutionsSolid understanding of modern routing and switching technologiesExperience administering Palo Alto Networks firewallsExperience with: BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, VLANs, Network segmentation, Routing and switching best practicesExperience supporting cloud networking environments, preferably AWSStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsU.S. Citizen or Green CardExperience with AWS WAF administration and policy managementExperience supporting FortiGate WAF environmentsExperience leading or participating in security platform migrations from Fortinet to alternative WAF or security solutionsRelevant certifications such as: Arista ACE, Palo Alto PCNSA or PCNSE, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, CCNP EnterpriseCompany OverviewA CMMI Level 5 certified company offering IT services and solutions such as cloud, IT staffing, web & mobile development, and more.
