[Remote] Network Engineer

They are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to assist with the implementation and support of network and security solutions for enterprise clients, working both independently and collaboratively with senior engineers.ResponsibilitiesAssist with network and security deployments including staging, installation, configuration, validation, and troubleshooting of data and security networksConfigure routing, switching, and security platforms based on established designs and best practicesSupport network discovery activities and assist with gathering technical requirements and documentation for client environmentsCreate and maintain implementation documentation, diagrams, and deployment notes to ensure clear communication with clients and internal teamsWork closely with sales engineers, project managers, and senior engineers to deliver successful customer outcomesDiagnose and resolve network and security issues during project deployments and post-implementation supportAssist with scheduled maintenance procedures and network updates both remotely and onsite as requiredSkillsExperience configuring and troubleshooting routing and switching platforms, preferably Cisco-based environmentsWorking knowledge of networking fundamentals including VLANs, routing, switching, and IP addressingUnderstanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack, OSI model, and common network servicesBasic experience with network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and secure access controlsAbility to follow established security best practices during network deploymentsStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issuesGood verbal and written communication skills when working with clients and internal teams3–5 years of hands-on experience implementing or supporting network infrastructureExperience working with routing, switching, and firewall technologiesBachelor's Degree in IT, Network Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceExperience with platforms such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Aruba, or Arista networking technologiesFamiliarity with wireless networking and enterprise LAN environmentsExposure to cloud networking concepts within AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plusBasic familiarity with SD-WAN technologies is beneficial but not requiredBasic knowledge of scripting or automation tools such as Python is a plusCisco CCNP or equivalent networking certification preferredSecurity or vendor-specific certifications are a plusCompany OverviewPresidio provides managed services and network solutions technologies.
