[Remote] Network Engineer

BrothersTech is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure across multi-site and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, network security, and troubleshooting complex network issues while supporting business-critical operations.ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN environmentsConfigure and troubleshoot Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or similar networking equipmentManage routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS connectivityImplement and support VPN technologies (Site-to-Site, Remote Access, IPSec)Configure and maintain firewalls such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, or Check PointMonitor network performance and proactively identify bottlenecksPerform network capacity planning, upgrades, and optimizationCollaborate with cloud teams to support networking in AWS, Azure, and GCP environmentsMaintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational proceduresParticipate in on-call support and incident resolution activitiesEnsure compliance with security standards and best practicesSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field5+ years of hands-on Network Engineering experienceStrong knowledge of: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, STPBGP, OSPF, EIGRPMPLS and SD-WANVPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)Network Security and Firewall ManagementExperience with Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ISR, ASR, Meraki, or equivalent platformsExperience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, or ThousandEyesStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsExcellent communication and documentation skillsCertifications such as: CCNACCNP EnterpriseCCIE (Preferred)Palo Alto PCNSEFortinet NSEExperience supporting cloud networking in AWS, Azure, or GCPKnowledge of network automation using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or REST APIsExperience with Zero Trust ArchitectureExperience with SASE solutionsExposure to F5 Load BalancersExperience in Healthcare, Banking, Telecom, or Financial Services environmentsCompany OverviewFounded on nearly two decades of experience working with global organizations across technology, healthcare, manufacturing, and professional services, BrothersTech is a technology company focused on building intelligent solutions that help organizations operate smarter and grow faster.
