[Remote] Network Engineer

They are seeking a Network Engineer to support real-time trading and market data connectivity across global networks, focusing on routing, switching, multicast, and packet-level troubleshooting in production environments.ResponsibilitiesSupport add/move/change (MAC) activities across production financial‑markets networksConfigure and troubleshoot Layer‑2 and Layer‑3 network services​Assist with BGP, OSPF, and IS‑IS routing changes and troubleshootingSupport NAT configuration and fault isolation (static and dynamic NAT)Assist with IP multicast (IGMP, PIM) used for market data distributionPerform packet capture and traffic analysis (tcpdump, Wireshark or equivalent)Assist with Layer‑1 troubleshooting including physical connectivity and latency‑sensitive pathsFollow disciplined change, documentation, and operational processesWork with senior engineers on automation‑enabled configuration and validationExposure to network‑as‑code practices using structured data (JSON/YAML)Assist with templated configuration and automation workflows (e.g., Jinja2, Ansible)Follow Git‑based version control and peer‑review workflows for network changesSkills3+ years of experience supporting global IP networksHands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Arista platformsStrong Layer-2 knowledge (VLANs, trunking, STP, LACP)Strong Layer-3 fundamentals (BGP basics, OSPF/IS-IS concepts)NAT fundamentals and troubleshooting experienceMulticast fundamentals (IGMP, PIM)Packet capture and analysis skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsCCNA or CCNPNCIA or JNCIPExposure to network-as-code practices using structured data (JSON/YAML)Assist with templated configuration and automation workflows (e.g., Jinja2, Ansible)Follow Git-based version control and peer-review workflows for network changesBenefitsMedical and dental coverageLife insurancePaid holidays and vacations401K plan with company matchCompany OverviewTransaction Network Services (TNS) is a global provider of data communications and interoperability solutions.
