They are seeking a motivated Naval Ship Design Engineer to provide technical engineering support for ship design and integration solutions, while ensuring compliance with contract documentation and design accuracy.ResponsibilitiesProviding technical engineering support for the SEA 05 Ship Design Manager (SDM) Warfare System/C4ISR programsAssessing shipboard requirements and providing recommended engineering design and integration solutions that minimize shipboard design impactsEvaluating and providing inputs to shipbuilding contract documentation such as Contract Drawings, Schedules A & C, and Ship SpecificationsConducting engineering reviews of shipbuilder products, including Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Detail Design Drawings, and CDRLs to ensure accuracy and complianceAssisting in the review and QA process for the revision of LHA CS/C4ISR Contract DrawingsEvaluating Bidders' questions and ECPs for compliance with technical scopeProviding technical coordination between the Ship Program Manager, SEA 05, various PARMs, support contractors, ISEAs, SSGC, and shipbuilding personnel to mitigate the impact of unavoidable changesTravel up to 10%SkillsHigh School Diploma or equivalent education7+ years of experience in naval ship design and technical engineering supportExperience assessing shipboard requirements and providing engineering design and integration solutionsMust be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearanceMust obtain an interim secret security clearance to startMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the timeNeeds to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and related equipmentFrequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentationsMust be able to exchange accurate information in these situationsBachelor's degree in engineering, naval architecture, or a related technical disciplineExperience with LHA amphibious assault ship CS/C4ISR systems and contract documentationBenefitsHealth InsuranceLife InsurancePaid Time OffHoliday PayShort-term and long-term DisabilityRetirement and SavingsLearning and Development opportunitiesWellness programsOther optional benefit electionsCompany OverviewManTech is a technology company that offers cyber, IT, and data analytics technologies and solutions for security programs.
