Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The J.M. Smucker Co. is seeking a National Account Manager for Publix within their Frozen Handheld & Spreads Sales Team. This role involves managing the business plan for Publix, achieving sales and profit targets, and building strategic relationships with key customer contacts.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for achieving net sales targets at key customerBuild and maintain relationships within key customer contactsDevelop strategies to drive brand and category growth and achieve or exceed sales and profit goalsLead negotiations for business planning, new items, key initiatives, etcInfluence key customer to implement solutions through fact-based presentations that deliver results that are beneficial for both customer and companyManage execution of everyday business in partnership with customer, including item setup/ maintenance, logistics and inventory management, etcExecute all agreed to programming with customer to include accurate, timely forecasting and detailed follow through; compliant with audit requirementsUnderstand retailer omni-channel marketplace and brand growth opportunitiesCommunication and alignment with Director on growth opportunitiesPerform analysis of sales and profit components, including merchandising, promotional and supply chain opportunitiesWork with syndicated/other data sources to both manage and inform strategic and tactical trade plansEffective trade budget management, accurate and timely visibilityForecast monthly and quarterly sales and effectively communicate internally for production planningAd-hoc financial and data analysis, including pre/post event analysisCollaborate on annual business planning, merchandising support, trade managementDrive business planning process working closely with cross-functional business partners and provide & receive direction from Manager & Leadership on opportunities to improve P&L key metrics based on analysis of promotion, spending, and volumeDrive strategic partnership with internal and external stakeholdersParticipate in assigned projects involving industry organizations, supply chain initiatives, etcSkillsBachelor's degree5+ years of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sales experience with direct national account HQ management experienceExperience working with syndicated data (Nielsen/Circana)Self-motivated and has ability to manage and prioritize multiple/diverse prioritiesExcellent oral & written communication skillsAbility to manage extended work schedules as needed, overnight travel as needed and adhere to company policies & proceduresExperience managing the Publix accountFood sales experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Advanced Excel skill setStrong analytical skills, with solid P&L financial understandingExperience working with POS or Card dataCompany OverviewAt The J.M.
