The National Account Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market share for pressure-treated wood products, while ensuring excellent communication and service with retail partners.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact for assigned national retail accounts, ensuring consistent communication, service, and executionLead strategic growth initiatives for targeted product categories, with emphasis on pressure-treated wood and ProWood distribution itemsDevelop and execute account-specific business plans to achieve revenue, profit, and volume targetsDrive penetration of new products and services into existing retail accountsParticipate in product line reviews, gathering competitive insights and market feedback to inform pricing, product development, and merchandising strategiesAttend and lead meetings with national retail accounts to present opportunities, review performance, and strengthen partnershipsCollaborate with National Service Managers, Regional Sales Managers, and Customer Service Representatives to address field requests and implement action plansResolve customer issues promptly, ensuring high levels of satisfactionFoster relationships with National, Regional and Local Pro Sales TeamLaunch and manage new business programs, merchandising initiatives, and promotional campaigns with retail partnersEnsure alignment between retail requirements and UFP operational capabilitiesPartner with marketing and product teams to design programs that enhance brand visibility and customer engagementManage account assets, including inventory turnover, and aged inventoryPrepare accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts, and account updatesMonitor and analyze sales performance to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunitiesSkillsBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum 3 years of customer-facing sales or account management experience, preferably in retail, manufacturing, or building materialsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsStrong business acumen and ability to develop strategic account plansProven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong problem-solving skills and customer-first mindsetAbility to travel as needed for account meetings and industry eventsSelf-starter with strong organizational skillsHighly motivated, goal-oriented, and results-drivenProfessional, collaborative, and adaptableDemonstrates a strong entrepreneurial spiritResponsible and trustworthy to work under little supervisionHighly motivated and enthusiasticGood interpersonal skills and good communicatorTeam player and goal orientedReliable and maintain good attendanceProfessional and respectfulAble to pass a drug testManufacturing and UFP product line experience preferredCompany OverviewUFP Site Built, a division of UFP Construction, uses its expertise, innovative drive, and unmatched access to materials of all types to provide the highest quality products and components for your construction needs.
