The National Account Manager, B2B Pet, will lead strategic customer relationships to drive sales growth and profitability while acting as a trusted advisor and developing innovative solutions.ResponsibilitiesServe as the sales lead for key national or regional accounts, managing the full business relationshipBuild and strengthen partnerships with customer stakeholders and internal cross-functional teamsDevelop a deep understanding of each customer’s business, goals, and growth opportunitiesIdentify and pursue new business opportunities and customersDevelop and execute joint business plans (JBPs), including item launches, promotion strategies, and key initiativesLead negotiations with customers to deliver mutually beneficial outcomesInfluence decision-making through fact-based selling and compelling presentationsRepresent Post Consumer Brands at tradeshows, field events, and industry engagementsManage day-to-day account execution including item setup, promotions, reporting, and logisticsPartner closely with Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and Demand Planning to deliver resultsEnsure strong execution across online content, inventory, and operational processesOwn the annual business plan and deliver against sales and profit targetsAnalyze sales performance, merchandising effectiveness, and promotional ROILeverage data tools (e.g., syndicated data, 1010 data, internal systems) to inform strategyForecast monthly and quarterly sales and manage trade budgets effectivelyConduct pre- and post-event analysis to continuously optimize performanceSkillsBachelor's degree required7–10+ years of CPG sales or account management experienceExperience calling on national or regional account headquartersProven ability to build relationships, negotiate, and influence decision-makersStrong analytical skills with experience using syndicated data sources (e.g., IRI/Nielsen preferred)Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and sales systemsHighly organized, strategic thinker with strong communication skillsBenefitsFlexibility of remote workOpportunity to travelOpportunities for growthMake an impact: Own strategic accounts and see the direct results of your workEntrepreneurial culture: Act like an owner and influence business decisionsGrowth opportunities: Build your career while working across leading brands in food and petCollaborative teams: Work cross-functionally with passionate, high-performing colleaguesPurpose-driven work: Help bring quality food (including pet products) to families everywhereTravel: Up to 20% travel required, including customer visits, meetings, and industry eventsCompany OverviewWe are focused on growth, low cost operational excellence, and being a great place to do great work.
