As an Account Manager for North America Materials Protection, you will drive the growth of Arxada’s business by developing customer partnerships and introducing innovative solutions in the plastics market.ResponsibilitiesLead the full sales cycle for assigned plastics accounts, including prospecting, technical discussions, value‑based selling, negotiations and closingStrengthen strategic customer relationships by conducting regular visits, business reviews and technical collaboration sessionsPartner closely with Technical Service, R&D and Product Management to translate customer needs into targeted technical and commercial solutionsMonitor industry and regulatory trends (e.g., sustainability, FDA, EPA, TSCA) to inform customer strategy and opportunity developmentDrive strong commercial execution through accurate forecasting, CRM management, pricing strategy and cross‑functional alignment with Supply Chain, Finance and Customer ServiceSkills5+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management or technical sales within chemicals, plastics additives, polymer science or materials engineeringStrong understanding of the plastics value chain, including compounding, masterbatch, and processing technologies (injection molding, extrusion, blow molding)Proven ability to translate technical concepts into compelling commercial value propositionsDemonstrated track record of revenue growth and customer relationship expansionExcellent communication, negotiation and business planning skills, with CRM proficiency (Salesforce, Dynamics or similar)Willingness to travel 30–50% across North AmericaBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Engineering or related field preferredBenefitsShort‑term incentive bonus401(k) planMedical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurancePaid time offPaid holidaysPaid sick leaveCompany OverviewArxada is a specialty chemicals firm that specializes in microbial solutions, hygiene, home and personal care, paints, and coatings.
