[Remote] Middleware Platform Engineer

Delphi-US is a national IT Services firm based in Newport, Rhode Island, seeking a skilled Middleware Platform Engineer to support and optimize enterprise integration platforms within a cloud-based environment. The role focuses on managing middleware technologies, ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of API and middleware solutions across multiple environments.ResponsibilitiesAdminister, support, and troubleshoot MuleSoft (Mule Runtime / Mule Platform) environments to ensure optimal performance and stabilityDeploy and manage API and middleware solutions across development, QA, and production environmentsSupport AWS infrastructure components, including S3, EC2, and API Gateway, to facilitate seamless cloud operationsImplement and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for provisioning, automation, and environment consistencyExecute deployments, coordinate production changes, and oversee release activities to ensure smooth transitionsMonitor system performance, conduct troubleshooting, and provide ongoing production supportConfigure security groups and support vulnerability remediation efforts to maintain system securityPerform system integration testing and validate deployment successMaintain the stability, reliability, and performance of middleware platformsCollaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to improve integrations and system efficienciesResearch, evaluate, and recommend new tools, technologies, and system enhancements to optimize middleware operationsSkills5+ years of experience in middleware, platform engineering, or systems engineering rolesHands-on experience with MuleSoft (Mule Runtime / Mule Platform)Strong experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and API GatewayExperience with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly TerraformSolid understanding of API integrations and middleware architectureProven experience with production support, deployments, and change managementKnowledge of networking and security concepts, including security groups and access controlsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience in DevOps or SRE environmentsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation toolsExperience managing multi-environment (dev/test/prod) deploymentsExposure to monitoring and logging toolsKnowledge of enterprise integration patternsCompany OverviewDelphi-US is a national IT staffing and recruiting agency headquartered in Newport, Rhode Island, delivering IT solutions and technologists fast, with verified availability, aligned compensation, and a proven interest in joining your team.
