[Remote] Middle School English Curriculum Writer Consultant

They are seeking a Middle School English Curriculum Writer Consultant to design full-course curricula and develop instructional materials that align with New York State standards.ResponsibilitiesDesign full-course curricula for Middle School English, including scope and sequence, unit plans, and daily lesson plansDevelop high-quality instructional materials, including:
Student-facing lessons and text-based activities
Writing prompts, discussion protocols, and projects
Assessments and rubrics aligned to grade-level standardsCurate and develop diverse, high-quality text sets that reflect multiple perspectives and lived experiencesEnsure alignment to New York State standards and Zetaβs academic vision and outcomesEmbed explicit instruction in literacy skills, including reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical analysisDesign performance-based assessments that measure both content knowledge and transferable skillsCollaborate with academic leaders, instructional coaches, and other curriculum writers to ensure alignment and coherenceIterate on curriculum based on educator feedback, student work, and assessment dataSkillsBachelor's degreeAt least three years of experience designing and/or teaching high-quality secondary humanities instructionProven record of developing rigorous, engaging, and culturally responsive curriculumBenefitsWork schedule is flexible; deliverables and deadlines will be agreed upon with the designated project lead.Company OverviewZeta Schools builds and sustains high-performing schools that providing quality education to students.
