[Remote] Mid-Level General Management Consultant (Media & Go-to-Market Strategy)

Simatree is a consulting firm seeking two mid-level General Management Consultants to support a leading media and publishing organization in the television and broadcast space. The role focuses on evaluating and redesigning elements of the client's sales and go-to-market operating model, requiring independent leadership of workstreams and development of strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesLead discrete workstreams focused on sales strategy, go-to-market design, and operating model optimizationAssess current-state sales and GTM capabilities to identify opportunities for increased effectiveness, efficiency, and scalabilityEvaluate outsourcing versus in-house operating model alternatives across key commercial functionsConduct stakeholder interviews, user interviews, and expert interviews to gather qualitative insights and validate hypothesesPerform market and industry research to identify leading practices and benchmark operating modelsDevelop and evaluate future-state operating model recommendationsSynthesize findings into executive-ready presentations and strategic recommendationsCollaborate closely with client leadership and engagement team members to drive project outcomes within an accelerated timelineSkillsPrevious experience at a top-tier management consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, or equivalent strategy consulting background)Demonstrated ability to independently manage workstreams and deliver high-quality client outcomes with limited oversightExperience conducting user interviews, executive and subject matter expert interviews, operating model design and assessment, and strategic analysis in an 80/20 consulting environmentStrong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work effectively in a highly collaborative, deadline-driven consulting engagementMedia industry experience, preferably within television, broadcasting, publishing, advertising, or mass media ecosystemsSales and go-to-market strategy experience, including commercial operating model design, channel strategy, sales effectiveness, or outsourcing assessmentsIdeal candidates will have experience in both media and go-to-market strategy engagementsCompany OverviewSimatree is an advisory practice that blends a unique mix of technical prowess with people-focused service to achieve data-driven change.
