[Remote] Microsoft SQL Developer - Remote Position
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ExecutivePlacements.com is seeking an experienced Microsoft SQL Developer for a full-time, on-site role. The primary responsibility is to support the migration of legacy Microsoft Access applications to Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring compatibility and providing mentorship to other development staff. Responsibilities • Support migrating legacy Microsoft Access Applications to Microsoft SQL Server. • Support roughly a dozen IT-supported Access applications built over the last 20 years, some of which support mission-critical functions and face compatibility issues with newer Access versions. • Handle front-end and back-end separation, migrating backends to SQL Server and updating front ends accordingly. • Modify VBA code for database structure changes and compatibility with Office versions. • Provide guidance and mentorship to other development staff. • Work with the app hosting team to optimize Access database setup on virtual desktops. • Report to the IT Supervisor and coordinate with Business staff for testing and validation. • Document all implemented changes.
