The role involves maintaining collaboration, endpoint management, identity, and productivity platforms while working closely with support teams and business stakeholders to improve the employee technology experience.ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering support across Microsoft cloud technologies, endpoint management, identity services, collaboration platforms, and workplace productivity solutionsInvestigate escalated technical issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions rather than temporary workaroundsPartner with Service Desk and End User Support teams to improve operational maturity through documentation, knowledge transfer, and process improvementDevelop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooksParticipate in the deployment, configuration, administration, and optimization of workplace technologiesExecute technology initiatives from planning through implementation, testing, deployment, and operational handoffCollaborate with infrastructure, security, architecture, and application teams to support enterprise-wide initiativesIdentify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency through scripting and modern management toolsContribute to incident, problem, and change management activities while maintaining a strong service-oriented mindsetUtilize modern AI-assisted tools where appropriate to accelerate troubleshooting, documentation, analysis, and operational effectivenessSkills4+ years of experience in systems administration, endpoint engineering, workplace technology, Microsoft cloud engineering, or related infrastructure rolesStrong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilitiesHands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 technologies within enterprise environmentsAbility to work across multiple technologies and support functions with minimal oversightExperience supporting identity, endpoint, collaboration, and productivity platforms at scaleWorking knowledge of: PowerShell scripting, Microsoft Graph API, Git and version control, CI/CD concepts and deployment processes, Infrastructure-as-Code technologies such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM, ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or similar toolsExperience supporting executive leadership or highly visible user populationsPrevious experience in Desktop Support, End User Computing, or Service Desk environmentsMicrosoft certifications such as: MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator), MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator), SC-300 (Identity & Access Administrator), ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent service management trainingExperience incorporating AI tools into engineering or operational workflowsExposure to regulated environments with change management, audit, or compliance requirementsFamiliarity with Power Platform, workflow automation, or ServiceNow developmentCompany OverviewAt GSD, we specialize in connecting top talent with leading organizations across multiple industries.
