[Remote] Microsoft Graph & Azure AD Automation Engineer

(NYGCI) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Microsoft Graph & Azure AD Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in identity management, API integrations, and large-scale automation within Microsoft 365 environments.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Design and implement automation solutions using Microsoft Graph API
ā¢ Work with Graph API endpoints, versioning (v1.0 vs beta), pagination, throttling, and service limits
ā¢ Implement advanced Graph capabilities such as delta queries, batching, filtering, and OData queries
ā¢ Troubleshoot API issues and interpret Graph documentation, schemas, and responses
ā¢ Configure and manage Azure AD app registrations
ā¢ Implement authentication flows including app-only and delegated permissions
ā¢ Manage certificates, secrets, and secure credential storage
ā¢ Design least-privilege access models and admin consent workflows
ā¢ Develop advanced PowerShell scripts and reusable modules
ā¢ Use Microsoft Graph PowerShell SDK for scalable automation
ā¢ Implement logging, error handling, retry logic, and performance optimization
ā¢ Build automation workflows using Azure Automation, Logic Apps, or CI/CD pipelines
ā¢ Automate Intune device and application management processes
ā¢ Manage policies, compliance, Autopilot configurations, and device lifecycle
ā¢ Support Azure AD identity governance including groups, roles, and conditional access
ā¢ Work with REST APIs, HTTP methods, headers, and JSON payloads
ā¢ Perform data transformation and automation workflows using JSON
ā¢ Follow secure coding practices and version control using Git
ā¢ Diagnose Graph API errors and permission issues
ā¢ Interpret HTTP response codes and service limitations
ā¢ Provide technical support and documentation for automation solutions
Skills
ā¢ Strong experience with Microsoft Graph API
ā¢ Expert-level PowerShell scripting
ā¢ Deep knowledge of Azure AD / Entra ID
ā¢ Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune
ā¢ Strong understanding of REST APIs and JSON
ā¢ Experience with Microsoft Graph PowerShell SDK
ā¢ Knowledge of authentication methods (OAuth, certificates, secrets)
ā¢ Proficiency with Git and version control workflows
ā¢ Experience with Azure Automation, Logic Apps, or DevOps pipelines
ā¢ Familiarity with enterprise security and IAM best practices
ā¢ Microsoft certifications (SC-300, MS-102, AZ-104, etc.)
