[Remote] Microsoft 365 Identity Engineer

As a Microsoft 365 Identity Engineer, you will provide engineering expertise to modernize the cloud environment, manage onboarding/offboarding, and collaborate with teams to ensure optimal and secure solutions. Responsibilities Support tickets related to: Login/authentication issues (MFA, lockouts, access failures) M365 services (mail, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive) Manage onboarding/offboarding across AD, Okta, and M365 Investigate and resolve policy-related issues (DLP, compliance, device policies) Collaborate with adjacent teams (security, networking, endpoint) as needed Maintain documentation and support audit/compliance requests Mailbox management, shared mailboxes, distribution groups Teams access, policies, and external collaboration troubleshooting Mail flow investigation and user access issues User lifecycle management across AD, Okta, and M365 Federation (SSO) and MFA troubleshooting Group-based access and provisioning flows Understanding of sync and identity flow across systems IOS device compliance and enrollment troubleshooting Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies Retention and data governance validation MFA enforcement and access controls Troubleshooting access restrictions tied to device or policy Skills 1-4 years demonstrated Cloud Engineering experience Strong understanding of hybrid identity environments Ability to troubleshoot across AD → Okta → Entra → M365 flow Familiarity with SSO, federation, and MFA behavior Experience supporting compliance-driven environments Clear communication and documentation skills PowerShell (Exchange Online, basic Graph usage) Familiarity with audit logs (Purview / Entra) Experience in regulated or government environments Bachelors with 1+ YOE Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental and vision plans for you and your dependents 401(k) Retirement Plan with Employer Match, 529 College Savings Plan, Health Savings Account, Life Insurance, and Long-Term Disability Competitive Compensation Training and development programs Major offices stocked with snacks and beverages Collaborative and cool culture Work-life balance and generous paid time off Company Overview Trace3 is a technology consultancy that provides IT strategies, business transformation solutions, and services for the clients.
